At the center is the detailed royal coat of arms of the Dutch Royal Family, finely printed in black/gray ink with luxurious gold highlights. Above the coat of arms, elegantly printed in gold letters:

"M.L. Hermand & Cie – Coach builders of the Royal Family"

Below the coat of arms is stated:

"The Hague, Holland"

On both sides of the coat of arms are represented three gold "medals" (six sides total), likely depicting both sides of three original medals:

  • First medal (1857):
    "1st class medal National Academy"

  • Second medal (1858):
    "Universal Exhibition, New York, 1858"

  • Third medal (ca. 1852):
    One side featuring a portrait of Napoleon III with the inscription "Napoleon 3, Empereur";
    the reverse presumably depicting an award or recognition, with reference to Paris, dated approximately 1852,  including the firm’s name.

  •  Note: The reverse side contains glue residues and paper fragments, indicating previous mounting.

  •  Additional remark: This card is printed on fine glossy paper and is not a rigid porcelain card.
