General Questions

Pricing

How are the prices of chromos and other prints determined?

  • The prices are determined based on various factors, including rarity, condition, and demand among collectors. At Vintage by Barbara, we strive to offer fair and competitive prices that reflect the actual market value.

Are the offered chromos, cards, and prints unused?

  • All chromos, porcelain cards, lithographs, and postcards are purchased second-hand. They may come from collector's albums where they were either fixed or glued, which may leave traces such as an impression from the holder in an album, glue marks, or a crease, usually in the corners. Some prints were stored in boxes or between rubber bands, causing slightly sharper wear on the edges. Postcards are also second-hand but are sold as unused, meaning they have not been written on or postmarked. We recommend carefully examining the accompanying photos of the items.

How is the rating excellent-very good-good-acceptable determined?

  • The rating is determined by our experts based on the physical condition of the prints, considering factors such as color retention, damage, and any signs of wear.

Can I request a photo of a series of chromos or a card or print before I place an order?

  • Yes, absolutely. Especially for series where multiple sets are available and therefore not all are shown on the site. We strive to be as transparent as possible.

Shipping

How is my order packed/protected for shipping?

  • All prints are carefully packed in protective materials to ensure they arrive in excellent condition. We use sturdy envelopes or boxes and additional protection if necessary.

How much will shipping cost?

  • Shipping costs depend on the destination, weight, and size of the package. We aim to offer the most cost-effective and reliable shipping options. The exact shipping costs are calculated at checkout. When purchasing multiple sets, we try to combine shipping costs where possible to make it more economical for you.

After Delivery

I am not satisfied with the condition of the received prints/cards/chromos.

  • Customer satisfaction is our priority. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of receipt to discuss a return or refund. Our return policy is designed to offer a fair solution for both the buyer and the seller.
